The short of it

SnoopSolve needs an email address and a way to take payment. Beyond that we have deliberately built it so there is very little to collect, which is why this page is short.

What the extension reads

To suggest an answer, the extension has to read the question in front of you. That means the text and the visible content of the Edgenuity activity page you have open — the question, the options, the passage or figure it refers to.

That content is used to produce your answer and its explanation, and it is not attached to a profile of you or used to build one. The extension only looks at Edgenuity pages; it is not reading your email, your messages, or the rest of your browsing.

What we keep on our side

• Your email address and password, so you can sign in. The password is stored hashed, never in a form we can read.
• Your subscription status — which plan, whether it's active, when it renews.
• Basic technical logs — timestamps, error reports and rough usage counts, which is how we notice the extension has broken before you have to tell us.

What we refuse to ask for

This list matters more than the one above.

• Your Edgenuity password. We never ask for it, never see it, and the extension has no way to sign in as you.
• Anything from your school's gradebook. Your scores, your progress, your teacher's comments — none of it is available to us and we don't want it.
• Your name, your school, your grade level or your address. We don't collect them, so we can't lose them.
• Payment card numbers. Those go straight to our payment processor. We see that a payment succeeded, not the card that made it.

Nothing goes to your school

Edgenuity is bought by districts, not by students, which makes this worth stating plainly rather than leaving implied.

We do not report to your district, your school, your teacher or Imagine Learning. We have no relationship with any of them and no channel through which to tell them anything. There is no dashboard on which your teacher can see that you use this.

The reverse is also true and is the more useful half: we cannot see anything your school sees. Whether they have switched on Edgenuity's Speed Radar, plagiarism checker, AI detector, IP registry, SecureLock or Proctorio is invisible to us. If you want to know what is running on your account, your school is the only place that can tell you.

The companies we rely on

Running this needs a few outside services: hosting for the site and the backend, a payment processor for subscriptions, an email provider for account mail, and privacy-conscious analytics that tell us which pages get read. Each sees only what its job requires, and none of them are permitted to sell what they process or use it for their own advertising.

How long it stays

Account details stay while your account is open. Technical logs are kept for a short operating window and then dropped. Payment records last as long as financial record-keeping requires, which is not our choice to make.

Close your account and we delete what is tied to it, other than the small amount we are obliged to retain.

Your controls

Email [email protected] and you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or close the account outright. You do not need to give a reason and we will not make it difficult.

You can also uninstall the extension at any moment, from your browser, without telling us — at which point it stops reading anything at all.

Age

Edgenuity is used from around sixth grade upward, so we know a lot of the people reading this are under eighteen.

SnoopSolve accounts are intended for students aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13. If you are under 13, please don't sign up. If you're a parent or guardian and believe an account exists for a child under 13, write to us and we will delete it and refund any subscription attached to it.

If you are under 18, it is worth talking to a parent or guardian before paying for anything online, including this.

Updates

If this policy changes we'll update the page and the date at the top. If a change is significant and we have your email, we'll write to you rather than assume you checked.
