Overview

SnoopSolve requires an email address and a payment method. The service is designed to collect as little else as possible.

What the extension reads

To generate an explanation, the extension has to read the question in front of you. That means the text and the visible content of the Edgenuity activity page you have open: the question, the options, the passage or figure it refers to.

That content is used to produce the explanation, and it is not attached to a profile of you or used to build one. The extension only looks at Edgenuity pages; it is not reading your email, your messages, or the rest of your browsing.

What we keep on our side

• Your email address and password, so you can sign in. The password is stored hashed, never in a form we can read.
• Your subscription status: which plan, whether it's active, when it renews.
• Basic technical logs: timestamps, error reports and rough usage counts, which is how we notice the extension has broken before you have to tell us.

What we do not collect

• Your Edgenuity password. We never ask for it, never see it, and the extension has no way to sign in as you.
• Anything from your school's gradebook. Your scores, your progress, your teacher's comments. None of it is available to us.
• Your name, your school, your grade level or your address. We do not collect them.
• Payment card numbers. Those go straight to our payment processor. We see that a payment succeeded, not the card that made it.

Who else sees it

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't pass it to anyone except in the ways this page describes: to the outside services listed in the next two sections, which handle payments, hosting, email, analytics and ad measurement for us, or where the law requires us to hand something over.

We also have no window into your school's side of Edgenuity, such as its settings or its gradebook. Questions about what your school can see belong with your school.

The companies we rely on

Running this needs a few outside services: hosting for the site and the backend, a payment processor for subscriptions, an email provider for account mail, and privacy-conscious analytics that tell us which pages get read. Each sees only what its job requires, and none of them are permitted to sell what they process. The analytics and advertising tools on the website are named in the next section.

Cookies, storage and the tools that use them

The website uses cookies and your browser's own storage for three jobs.

• Keeping things working. Our own first-party cookies and local storage keep you signed in, remember where you got to in checkout and the settings you picked, and help protect accounts from misuse. These are the essential ones.
• Seeing how the site gets used. Mixpanel shows us how people move through the product and the sign-up steps, and Seline gives us privacy-friendly counts of which pages are visited.
• Measuring ads. The Meta Pixel tells us whether our ads lead anywhere, and lets us build audiences to show ads to on Meta's platforms.

When you reach checkout, our payment provider may set cookies of its own for that step.

Your browser can block or delete cookies and clear stored site data, and Meta's ad preferences let you control how your activity there is used for ads. Blocking the essential cookies may prevent sign-in.

And to be clear: SnoopSolve doesn't sell your personal information, through cookies or by any other route.

How long it stays

Account details stay while your account is open. Technical logs are kept for a short operating window and then dropped. Payment records are retained for as long as financial record-keeping requires.

Close your account and we delete what is tied to it, other than the small amount we are obliged to retain.

Your controls

Send us a request through our support ticket page, which you can use without an account, or email [email protected]. You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or close the account. No reason is required.

You can also uninstall the extension at any moment, from your browser, without telling us, at which point it stops reading anything at all.

Age

SnoopSolve accounts are intended for students aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13. If you are under 13, do not sign up. If you are a parent or guardian and believe an account exists for a child under 13, contact us and we will delete it and refund any subscription attached to it.

If you are under 18, you may use SnoopSolve only with a parent's or guardian's permission, and any subscription must be purchased by a parent or legal guardian, or with their consent.

Updates

If this policy changes we'll update the page and the date at the top. If a change is significant and we have your email, we'll write to you rather than assume you checked.

Getting in touch

Use our support ticket page to submit a request; no sign-in is required. A person reviews every request.
