How to Finish Edgenuity Fast

Edgenuity shows you two grades and they mean different things.

Overall Grade is your performance on work you've actually submitted. Actual Grade also counts everything you haven't done yet as a zero — roughly, your completion against target completion, multiplied by your overall grade.

That's why catching up isn't just about the deadline. It's the fastest available way to move the number your school records.

Where the hours actually go

Audit an evening honestly and the split is usually:

• Instruction video: the biggest block, and predictable. Twenty-odd minutes per lesson, every lesson, before you reach anything else.
• Assignments: variable and expensive. Two questions you can't crack turn thirty minutes into ninety.
• Quizzes: expensive when you guessed. A burned attempt on material you didn't understand costs you the retake you'd rather have kept.

Most students try to optimise the second line because it's the frustrating one. The first is the larger number.

The order to clear a backlog in

1. Oldest unfinished work first. Those are the zeros dragging your Actual Grade. Newer work feels more urgent and is usually worth less.

3. Ask which activities carry weight. Course weights apply to quizzes, tests and exams, and Imagine Learning publishes a list of assignment types that don't influence the course grade. On a tight deadline, knowing which items count is worth more than an extra evening.

4. Then work lesson by lesson, in order.

What actually speeds it up
